TERMINUS
Stealth Survival Horror
Engine: Unreal
Platform: PC
Role: Level Designer
Project Type: Bachelor's Degree
Terminus is an exciting and thrilling stealth survival horror game that was created by myself and a friend of mine, Kienan Southern, during our time at the University of Bolton while we were pursuing our Bachelor's Degrees. The game was developed in response to a brief that required us to create a game that takes place in a train amidst a wintery apocalypse. As a result, Terminus was born, as it tasks players with finding supplies for their camp back home in a train station that has been transformed into a robot charging facility. The game's levels were inspired by the layout of Preston Train Station, using it as the levels foundational design. The station has been abandoned for decades, sneaking in the player must turn on a power generator to get into the station, but the robots are now operational, making it a challenging and exciting adventure. To progress through the game, players must find keys within the supplies they collect to unlock new areas while avoiding detection by the security cameras that are now operational after the power has been restored. If they are spotted, every robot will run directly to the player, trying to stop them from trespassing.
